Statement from RPOF Chairman Lenny Curry on Presidential Primary Date

Today, under the authority provided them by Florida statute and their selection by Governor Scott, Speaker Cannon and Senate President Haridopolos, the nine members of the Presidential Preference Primary Date Selection Committee chose January 31st as our state’s date.

Florida Straw poll

The Republican Party of Florida’s Presidency 5, 2,657 delegates cast their votes in the Party’s straw poll. The results of that straw poll are in and are as follows:

  1. Herman Cain, 37.1%
  2. Rick Perry, 15.4%
  3. Mitt Romney, 14.0%
  4. Rick Santorum, 10.9%
  5. Ron Paul, 10.4%
  6. Newt Gingrich, 8.4%
  7. Jon Huntsman, 2.3%
  8. Michele Bachmann, 1.5%

Become a Volunteer

"First, Register as a Republican"

Registering with the Republican gives you the added ability to vote in the party's primary elections and Volunteer to help your local CCREC . By registering to vote as Republican, you can participate in Republican primaries and be considered an official member of the Republican Party.

"How Can I Help the CCREC ?"

You may be asking yourself how you can help The Citrus County Republican Executive Committee (CCREC) and, in turn, the Republican party. Volunteering is one of the best ways !

"Why Should I Volunteer ?"

Becoming a volunteer will allow you to make connections in the Republican Party, utilize your talents and improve the Grand Old Party. Volunteering for the Republican Party is one of the easiest and most valuable ways that you can help your party.

"How Can I Help as a Volunteer ?"

For registered members of the Republican Party there are many options including making phone calls, going door-to-door, volunteering on election days, helping at a campaign headquarters, helping register people to vote, volunteering at events and much more.

You can also support Republican candidates. You can volunteer to help with their campaign, place bumper stickers on your car and even place display signs in your yard.
